Press Z-Box

The patented Transphase Press Z-Box Steam Profiler is custom designed to fit the space available in the press section. Best results are obtained when installed against a suction roll or box.

The Z Plates help to keep the steam jets clean while forcing the steam into convergence with the sheet, maximizing the exposure of the sheet to the steam while minimizing the ability for the steam to spread in the CD. The converging zones constrain the steam flow into intense narrow CD zones to provide greater CD moisture control than conventional steam boxes. The Transphase press section steam shower and can be combined with the James Ross cleaning solution. Use of this automatic cleaning system allows the operator to run the steam box at optimum efficiency levels.

Results:
